MEAN WELL HEP-1000 Harsh Environment Power supply:

HEP-1000 is an industrial AC/DC power supply providing up to 1,000 W designed with aluminum case and fully potted by silicone and high resistance to difficult working conditions; moisture, dust, oils and high vibrations. Thanks to the use of high-quality aluminum housing and fanless cooling, the product meets the IP67 tightness class (for the HEP-1000-xyW model). Despite the use of convection cooling, the acceptable operating temperature range is -40 ~ + 70 ° C. The power supply is available in two versions: with a screw terminal (for the HEP-1000-xy model) and with IP67 cabling (HEP-1000-xyW).

The device has built-in 2 and 3-stage charging characteristics programmed for optimal charging of different types of batteries (lead acid, gel, AGM, lithium-ion). The user also has the option of independently programming his own charging curve. Curve programming is possible thanks to the programmer of the Mean Well SBP-001 chargers and the software of the Mean Well company. In the absence of an external programmer, it is possible to manually select the charging current and voltage using the PMBus interface.

It features the high efficiency (up to 96%), waterproof and low no-load power consumption. Incorporating state of the art design, the fanless HEP-1000 is capable of working under high-vibration (10G), dusty, humid, and oily environment. Other features include adjustable voltage/current and wide working temperature range (-40~+70°C).

Thanks to the built-in standard PMBus communication protocols (optional CANBus), the HEP-1000-W series can be seamlessly integrated into a larger system, making it a controllable peripheral that offers many benefits such as energy saving, easy monitoring and fast communication. The case design and firmware functions make the HEP-1000-W a perfect match for digital energy management, electrolysis, burnout equipment, charging equipment and laser applications.
